The citizens’ advisory committee working on the next Regional Transportation Authority plan has hit the ground running in 2021. The committee has a framework for developing a new RTA plan and an initial list of proposed projects. Members will be learning about the scope of the projects and projected needs for the region over the next few months and working with the support of the RTA Technical Management Committee to determine which projects are feasible and make sense.
You may remember the RTA Board appointed the committee in May 2018 after an application period. Members are from across the region and do not represent any one interest.
The Citizens Advisory Committee will meet at least once per month in 2021, every second Monday with an additional meeting on the fourth Monday, if needed. Please visit the website to confirm meetings and view the agenda. The meetings are being held virtually for now and are open to the public via live YouTube stream.
