Title VI (Non-Discrimination) Policy

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) of Pima County complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes and regulations in all programs and activities. As such, the RTA operates without regard to race, color, national origin, age, gender, income or disability. RTA meetings are held in accessible locations, and materials are provided in accessible formats in languages other than English upon request within a reasonable advance notice period.

The RTA’s Title VI Plan provides detailed information on how the RTA meets its obligations under Title VI in its interactions with the public and through its contractual relationships with organizations that receive federal funds.

The non-discrimination policy lists the measures the RTA takes to ensure non-discrimination in its programs and activities and how to submit a discrimination complaint.

Any person who believes they have been discriminated against by the RTA or any of its subrecipient or contractors may file a written complaint with the RTA and/or the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Civil Rights Office. If the complaint is filed against the RTA, the RTA Title VI Coordinator is required to forward the complaint to the ADOT Civil Rights Office. All complaints will be promptly investigated by the ADOT Civil Rights Office.
