The Regional Transportation Authority was established on a foundation of accountability and transparency. Accountability started with bringing regional partners, stakeholders and members of the regional community to the table to develop a 20-year regional transportation plan that would be acceptable to RTA partner jurisdictions and ultimately Pima County voters.

The next 5-year state-performance audit will be getting underway in the summer of 2026.

Quarterly Reports

The RTA launched quarterly analysis reports at its March 2026 meetings, including presentations to the Citizens Accountability for Regional Transportation (CART) Committee, the Technical Management Committee and the RTA Board.

RTA Administrative Documents

The RTA Administrative Code sets guidelines for RTA program delivery. This tool will be used throughout the implementation of the new regional transportation plan approved on March 10, 2026, by Pima County voters.
