RTA seeks applicants for oversight committee
The Regional Transportation Authority is seeking applicants to fill two at-large seats on its citizens’ oversight committee, called the Citizens Accountability for Regional Transportation (CART) Committee.
The committee, which meets as needed, monitors the progress toward implementation of the 2006 voter-approved RTA plan, which is effective through June 2026. Oversight responsibilities include project delivery, review of revenue projections and project expenditures. Members serve staggered terms of four years. Applicants must be residents of Pima County.
Applications must be mailed and postmarked or hand delivered to Pima Association of Governments, 1 E. Broadway Blvd., Suite 401, Tucson, AZ 85701, by 5 p.m. on Jan. 31, 2020.
RTA committee meetings are open to the public, and meeting notices are posted 24 hours in advance of the meetings. Posting locations include on the RTA homepage, in the committee meetings section under About RTA, and on the bulletin boards in the hallway as you exit the elevator on the fourth floor at 1 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, Ariz.
