Title Vi (Non-Discrimination) Policy

The RTA treats everyone equally, no matter your race, color, where you’re from, age, gender, income, or disability. This is required by federal law (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964). RTA meetings are held in places everyone can get to and documents are available in other languages or formats if you ask ahead of time.

The RTA Title VI Plan explains how the RTA follows these rules when working with the public and with organizations that receive federal money.

The policy describes what the RTA does to treat everyone fairly and how to file a complaint if you believe you were treated unfairly.

If you believe the RTA or one of its contractors treated you unfairly, you can file a written complaint. Complaints against the RTA are sent to the ADOT Civil Rights Office, which will investigate.

Sus Derechos Bajo el Título VI

El RTA trata a todos por igual sin importar su raza, color, origen, edad, género, ingresos o discapacidad. Las reuniones del RTA se llevan a cabo en lugares accesibles. Los documentos están disponibles en otros idiomas si los solicita con tiempo.

El Plan del Título VI explica cómo el RTA sigue estas reglas. La política de no discriminación describe cómo presentar una queja. El Plan LEP describe la ayuda disponible para personas con dominio limitado del inglés.

Cualquier persona que crea que ha sido discriminada por el RTA o cualquiera de sus sub-receptores o contratistas, puede presentar una queja por escrito con el RTA o con la Oficina de Derechos Civiles de ADOT. Si la queja es contra el RTA, el enlace de Título VI del RTA está obligado a remitir la queja a la Oficina de Derechos Civiles de ADOT. Todas las quejas se investigarán inmediatamente por la Oficina de Derechos Civiles de ADOT.
