Pima County has targeted to start construction on the Palo Verde Road sidewalks and a multi-use pathway on South Houghton by the end of 2026. The projects will be funded in part with RTA funds.
South Houghton Multi Use Path Project
The project will consist of constructing a 10-foot-wide multi-use path along the east side of South Houghton Road from Camino del Toro to Forrest Feezor Street and from Vista Monte Drive to Sahuarita Road. The total length of the project is 0.68 miles.
The project will connect to the existing multi-use path between Forrest Feezor Street and Vista Monte Drive.
The multi-use path will provide better access to residential neighborhoods, schools, and businesses in the commercial center of Corona de Tucson, while also providing a safer route for people walking and bicycling.
The project will take approximately one year to complete.
